First Chard Harvest

A mighty pile of Swiss chard is on the table and I’m beat. Time for Daphne to start canning, and in the background she is experimenting with hanging up some to dry. I’m calling it quits for the day.

This is our first chard harvest of the season–all that from half a bed. If things follow their usual pattern, the same bed will re-grow and give us another harvest in mid August, then again mid-September.
