Enchanted Woods, Wandering Waters & Wild Ways

When the snow melts enough to reveal the canoe, it's time to prepare for more wildwood jaunts.

When the snow melts enough to reveal the canoe, it’s time to prepare for more wildwood jaunts.

The snow has recently melted, and it’s time to think of wild country and sequestered lakes and brooks.  My new book, tentatively titled The Wildwood Way, will require a lot of time outdoors, exploring the forest and getting to know its elusive creatures and mysteries.  I could desire nothing more.  And so it is with great anticipation I prepare my gear and get ready to set out on many jaunts over the coming twelve months.  Some will be by horseback, some on foot, some by canoe, to various temporary and base camps, to spend long days and nights filled with green enchantment, shy spirits and natural wonders.

Follow this site for updates on my previous books, my newest book (Seasons of the Sacred Earth, due on shelves this August), and the continuing story of the creation of The Wildwood Way, as well as an increasing collection of articles on natural lore, the crafts of shaman and hedge witch, and homesteading skills.
